Be Inspired #96 Clearly Creative

For this project I used clear acrylic for the base of the candle. For the candle holder I embossed vellum in the Cuttlebug. I used a 5 x 7 Cuttlebug folder that is an exclusive to Oh My Crafts. I'm sorry but I couldn't find the name of it.

I cut the shade using Provo Crafts Cupcake Wrappers cartridge. It is also lined with vellum. I glued small pearls and added the gold edging . Inside is a battery operated candle.

This cute design was made using clear acetate and the same 5 x 7 Cuttlebug folder as above.

The gold butterflies are from Stampendous. They are placed on vellum and then colored in with Bic markers. I like to give them dimension by layering them. The top layer has clear acetate under the sticker and a gem on top.

Thanks again for visiting my blog. Make sure you stop by next week to see my designs.

From My Heart,
Kristi

Winter Frolic Serving Tray

I designed this holiday tray using the Winter Frolic cartridge from Provo Craft. The focal point of "Angels Gather Here" was the first thing on this cartridge that caught my eye. In this project it is cut in shadow, and then layered and inked with soft blue Momento Ink. The flourish and corners are brightened with red gems.

The roses, stamens and leaves are from Wild Orchid, which is in the UK, and they offer superb customer service. The scrolls along the edge of the tray are cut in white and again in blue for the shadow. The shadows are embossed with the Swiss Dots folder in the Cuttlebug, using Core'dinations paper, and with a quick sanding, the white dots pop right out.

To go along with my tray, I have also added a greeting card to match!

The sweet little partridge family is also cut from Winter Frolic. The snowflakes are embossed into the DCWV paper, then sanded to release the white core, and are accented with blue gems.

This is a very good cartridge to add to your library. It has a lot to do with the basics of Christmas, and includes a darling Nativity, which I hope to do soon. Thanks for stopping by ... It was really fun to to be one of the first to create a project with this cartridge!

From my heart ~
